Audience:
Healthcare providers/students that need to learn advanced CPR and ECC techniques for adults (e.g., emergency doctors, emergency medical technicians, clinical exercise physiologists, nurses)
Key Course Concepts:
- Drug utilization for CPR
- Airway management during CPR
- Manual defibrillation, including ECG recognition during CPR
- Bradycardia management
- Tachycardia management
- Asystole/PEA management
- Megacode practice and testing
Formats:
Full Class:
- Approximately 16 hours
- $250 + cost of the required textbook (ebooks.heart.org) + gas fee since it is a multiple-day class
- Requires a current AHA BLS card and passing the AHA ACLS Provider pre-test
Update Class:
- Approximately 8 hours
- Requires a current American Heart Association certification card that is about to expire (ACLS Provider)
- Requires a current AHA BLS card and passing the AHA ACLS Provider pre-test
- Requires the current textbook (ebooks.heart.org)
- $150
Hybrid Class:
- (Approximately 5 hours for the skills session)
- $151 to onlineaha.org for the cognitive portion and $100 to Lifesaver CPR for the skills session
- Requires current AHA BLS certification
