American Heart Association ACLS Provider 

(2020 Guidelines)

Audience: 

Healthcare providers/students that need to learn advanced CPR and ECC techniques for adults (e.g., emergency doctors, emergency medical technicians, clinical exercise physiologists, nurses)

Key Course Concepts:

  • Drug utilization for CPR
  • Airway management during CPR
  • Manual defibrillation, including ECG recognition during CPR
  • Bradycardia management
  • Tachycardia management
  • Asystole/PEA management
  • Megacode practice and testing

Formats:

Full Class:

  • Approximately 16 hours 
  • $250 + cost of the required textbook (ebooks.heart.org) + gas fee since it is a multiple-day class
  • Requires a current AHA BLS card and passing the AHA ACLS Provider pre-test

Update Class:

  • Approximately 8 hours
  • Requires a current American Heart Association certification card that is about to expire (ACLS Provider)
  • Requires a current AHA BLS card and passing the AHA ACLS Provider pre-test
  • Requires the current textbook (ebooks.heart.org)
  • $150

Hybrid Class:

  • (Approximately 5 hours for the skills session) 
  • $151 to onlineaha.org for the cognitive portion and $100 to Lifesaver CPR for the skills session
  • Requires current AHA BLS certification
