The wilderness first aid certification course that Lifesaver CPR teaches is designed for those going on Boy Scouts of America high-adventure trips as well as anybody else that is planning a high-adventure trip in which you are an extended time/ distance away from EMS rescue, such as to the Philmont, Seabase, and other remote adventures.

* microorganisms, lightning, spiders, many other types of wilderness emergencies/ concerns
* important preparation for the wilderness
* Length: about 17 to 22 hours, depending on breaks, number of students, number of stories/ questions, etc.

* The time of completing the class
* Utilization of wilderness hands-on materials, as necessary
* Confidence in performing the first aid skills in real-life
Format of the class
There is only a classroom format. If you are very well experienced, ASHI allows for a challenging of the course in which you skip the classroom part as long as you pass the written and skills test; if you fit into this category, talk to me about the specific details.

Scheduling for this class is little unique since Lifesaver CPR requires a minimum of 4 students per wilderness first aid class, but please contact me if it is just you so that I can try to fit you into another class that may be planned.
Lifesaver CPR will travel to the client to teach the wilderness first aid classes, and they have typically been taught at the BSA troop leader’s location. There is more interest in another class, so please call even if you do not have a group so that a full class can be put together!
